Missed Visitation

My ex-wife has been throwing a fit about not seeing the girls and saying that I am keeping them from her. On Tuesday, she and I talked and she was supposed to come over on Wednesday to see them. She was even supposed to pick my oldest up from school.

As always, she didn’t call or anything on Wednesday. I picked up my oldest and went home. When I got home, she did call me and said that she “Forgot she had court”. I had plans to decorate our Christmas tree that day with my girlfriend and all the kids. So we planned on the next day for her to see the kids.

Again, no phone call or anything for her Thursday visitation. We were outside hanging Christmas lights when my girlfriend said “Hey wasn’t the girls mom supposed to come over & see them”? I just told her yes and that this is the way it always is. SO on Thursday, the ex-wife didn’t even call until later that evening.

Thursday evening, she asked if the girls could spend the night with her on Friday. She said she was able to get her own place and that her now boyfriend is flipping the bill. I told her “yes” and the plan was to meet up for her to get the kids on Friday.

Friday rolls around and I text messaged her saying my oldest got sick and stayed home from school and that I also needed her new address. I certainly wasn’t going to let the girls go without having her address. No response from the ex-wife. My oldest daughter even called her & left her a voicemail and text messaged her twice. Still, no response.

So there you have it! I am NOT keeping the kids away from their mother; she is doing it just fine herself.

Early Morning Phone Calls

Why do people feel compelled to call me at the wee morning hours? The night before last, my ex-wife called me at 2:30 a.m. I didn’t answer and my girlfriend was asking why I hadn’t answered the phone. I simply told her I had been through it before. By that I mean, she used to call me early in the mornings while she was drunk and either beg for me back or say she was going to kill herself. I didn’t want to deal with it. But, there was a voicemail and she didn’t talk. It only lasted about 10 seconds and it just sounded like she was driving.

Then this morning, I received another phone call from a girl that I am “kinda” friends with. Years ago she went out with a good friend of mine. They had a kid together. I have no idea why she called me. It was 3:37 a.m. when she called. It kind of sounded like she was on something. So I asked if she was okay and she said she was. That was basically it. I hung up.

Now here is what sucks about the whole thing. My girlfriend spent the night last night as well. So I had to explain to my girlfriend “why” some other girl was calling me and “why” she was calling me so early in the morning. It made me feel very uncomfortable.

I have absolutely nothing to hide from my girlfriend. But I also know how this must have looked. I hope she understands that I would never ever do anything behind her back.

Visitation Weekend

Since my ex-wife is in some sort of “live in” rehab facility, I take my girls down to their Nanas house (the ex-wifes mom) for visitation with her and to spend the night or the weekend. The girls Nana and I are on super good terms and she supports me in raising my children. So she offered to take the girls every other weekend so I can have some sort of a break.

I took the girls down there this past Saturday and their mom said over the phone that she would be seeing the girls. This is how it has been since she and I split up. Apparently, the girls spent all day Saturday looking out the window waiting for their mother to no avail. Then, on Saturday night their mom called them. They were supposed to go to church on Sunday but their mom said they could “Either go to church or see her”. The kids obviously chose to see their mother.

While I was at a wedding reception with my girlfriend, I received a text message from the girls mom. It read…

Ex-Wife: What time are you getting them tomorrow? Could I just bring them home, say 5?

I answered: No. I have all planned with your mom.

I simply do not want my ex-wife here at my home because I have my own life and my girlfriend and her daughter are always here. I do not and will not put them in a situation to be treated like crap by the ex. Plus, she steals from me every time she is here.

The ex-wife’s mother called me just after I received this text message and asked me about the ex picking up the girls. I told her “No” because they already had plans and we were not going to adjust our lives to suit her.

When I picked up the girls the next day, I found out that their mother decided NOT to see the girls. Why? I have no idea. She had the opportunity and this is they way things have gone for a while.

Last night their mom called and talked to my oldest daughter. After their conversation, my oldest daughter said that “Mommy was going to call me about picking her up from school the next day”.

I have not received a phone call or nothing from her. Just one more disappointment for my daughters. Luckily, they have me to make things better and my girlfriend who treats them fantastically well.

Fantastic Text Messages

So I decided to start a new category called “Fantastic Text Messages”. My ex-wife keeps sending me all sorts of mean and nasty messages on my phone so I thought it may be nice to share them all with you so you can see exactly what I am dealing with. Here’s the first one I will write about.

Last night we decorated Christmas cookies. My girlfriend, her daughter, my girlfriend’s brother & his wife, and my girlfriend’s daughter’s father were over here. I hope that all made sense. We had a super time with all the kids.

The ex-wife called and talked to my oldest daughter. After my daughter was done, she said that mommy wanted to talk to me. I got on the phone and she starts saying that “I thought we weren’t going to bring the kids around anybody that both of us didn’t know”. What??? First off, she and I have never had any kind of conversation like that. Then I started to tell her that it was my girlfriend’s family and came to my senses and told her “I don’t have time for this” and hung up.

Then I received the following text messages…

Ex-Wife: “Next time you better make the fuckin time! And to keep the girls from me the way you have , I’ll be sure to let the court know! Not following the court orders and not allowing the girls to call me cuz your girlfriend is there. Over it Eric! It stops NOW!

Time out. I have never kept the girls from their mom and they are always more than welcome to call her anytime. My oldest even text messages her all the time. These are simply figments of her messed up imagination.

My response:You need some serious mental help. Please do not text me in this manner again.
Ex-Wife:Then make the time to talk to me about the kids! Not, I don’t have time for this or I gotta go. You need to put your kids first instead of your drunkin own!

That’s it. I didn’t respond after that because I simply had more important things to do and more important people to attend to.

I kicked her ass out!

For some reason, I allowed the girls mom to come over yesterday to see the girls. I knew this was a bad idea because of all the bullshit and drama she provides for our life.

First, she was supposed to pick the oldest daughter up from school. I had to go to the school anyway to pick up my son. I knew (because it has happened in the past), that she would not be able to pick up my daughter. After I got my son, I went and stood in front of my daughter’s classroom like I usually do. No sign of her mom. I received a phone call from her about five minutes before the bell rang. She said there was some sort of accident and she would not be able to pick her up. She asked if she could just meet at my house. So I said “Okay”.

She got here over an hour late. She was all dressed up and I presume it was because she knew my girlfriend was going to be here and she wanted to make her jealous. Luckily, my girlfriend is not that type of woman…she’s actually a WOMAN.

When she got here, you could feel her overly inflated ego taking up most of the space in my house. I could instantly feel that this was a horrible idea.

There were some gummy bears my girlfriend bought for her daughter that was sick. My ex proceeded to open them and give them to my girls without even asking. I told her who they were for and she said in a controlling voice “They can share cant they”? I took them away because that was just rude.

Then she said that we needed to talk and asked if I would go outside with her, so I did. She said that her boyfriend asked her to marry him (poor bastard), and she said yes. She was even wearing an engagement ring, (I will get into that in a moment). She made it a point to say that he come from money and that when they get their own place, she is going to gain custody of my girls and they are going to live with them.

NOBODY in this world is going to tell me that they are going to take my children away from me. So obviously I got pretty pissed off. I actually politely asked her to leave. She came in the house and told the girls that “I” said she had to leave. I did say she had to leave but when she told the girls, she did it in a way to make me look like a horrible person.

The girls started crying and I raised my voice and told her to “Get the hell out of my house or I would call the cops”. She still was sitting down. So, I took my girlfriends daughter into my bedroom where my sick girlfriend was because I didn’t think she needed to see and hear any of the conversation.

After the ex left, my oldest was crying hysterically and was calling me “mean” because I made her mommy leave. I didn’t quite know what to do because I was so pissed off.

Now I am going to go to court, spend even more money that I don’t have and prove that the ex is an unfit mother and try to get supervised visitation.

Getting ripped off

The other day I was looking for this “Ginsu” knife I had. I couldn’t find it and absolutely knew that my kids would not take it. Then I remembered that the ex-wife was here for my daughter’s birthday and she could have easily taken it. I asked the ex-wife about it and of course she denied it.

Then the other day, she came to my house to see the kids. That’s another story all together. But, later toward dinner time my Sheriff neighbor came over to see if my son would like to check out his police car and sit in it. So we went next door and unfortunately left the ex-wife in my house.

Now, last night I went into my bathroom to get some tweezers. Low and behold they were gone!!! Just to be sure, I asked my oldest daughter if she had taken then. She said “No” and I knew she hadn’t.

It’s only obvious!!!! What the hell is wrong with people? I absolutely cannot stand thieves who will take anything even a simple thing of tweezers!!!

Meeting her

The first time I ever saw her I just got done getting my kids from school. We were walking down to our van and walking past the busses. The little one was lagging a little bit so I turned around to check on her. That’s when I first saw her.

I did a total double take. It wasn’t like she was right in our faces. She was quite a ways back but luckily I still noticed her. I played like my son’s wheelchair was broken or something so she could catch up. As her and her daughter past us, his chair miraculously was repaired.

I really wanted to say something to her but couldn’t get any kind of words out. Then I noticed she was carrying a “Padres” lunch box. So I asked her about it. Totally dumb but that’s all that came out.

Through the next couple of weeks, I ALWAYS looked for her at the school. Instead of simply taking the kids to school because I had to, I turned into going to the school simply to get a glimpse of her.

One Friday morning I got my daughter to school slightly late. As I was walking my daughter up there, this girl came out of the office and suddenly introduced herself to me. I was in total amazement and couldn’t believe I was talking to this girl that I have thought about for weeks upon weeks.

After she introduced herself to me, I went on my way but could not get her out of my head. I went home and kept thinking about her and how I could actually get to know her a bit better. So I decided to write her a “note” and put it on her car. So I wrote the note, drove back to the school, and put it on the window of her car. Low and behold she called me later that night. What a douche bag to put a “note” in her car right??? But hey, at least she called me!!!

I received a phone call yesterday and to my surprise it was my ex-wife in jail. Here’s the story I was told by her…

She looked up on the internet to see if she had any warrants. Apparently she did. She went to the court house (or something to that effect), and was promptly arrested. She told me her bail was $55,000 dollars.

She said it had something to do with a DUI she had just after we split up. I was waiting for her to ask me to bail her out but she didn’t. I was shocked! She did however get bailed out by her now boyfriend. This is the first time I have heard anything about a boyfriend because she is always telling me how much she loves me & stuff (don’t worry, it goes in one ear and out the other).

Later in the evening, she called me back so I can conference call with her mom because she was still in jail. It was a funny conversation. She just told her mom what was going on while I simply listened. This is also the first time her mom heard she has a boyfriend. Her mom was kinda pissed off. I wish I could have recorded the conversation but that’s illegal.

Anyway, I thought the whole thing was pretty funny in a sick kind of way.

I need $50???

Yesterday morning I started receiving text messages from my ex-wife asking if I could “loan” her $50 to pay her cell phone bill. I of course said “no”. She started coming back with a bunch of text messages saying that it is her only line of communication with the kids & such. I still said “no”.

The derogatory text messages kept on coming, and coming, and coming. I stopped responding to her messages but still, they just kept coming. Really mean messages too. Telling me that I am a drunk, her thinking she knows how much money I make and that I should be able to help her out.

So I told her, “You have ripped me off too many times. “I” take care of the kids with no help from you. You are supposed to be paying “me” child support, not the other way around”. She came back with how she helps me out all the time and stuff. Bullshit! When the hell have “you” helped “me” out? Oh that’s right, last weekend she gave me $50. Oh my god, I’m rich!!! She finally gave me some sort of money.

Maybe I should get a restraining order against her so she cannot text me without going to jail.
