So a man was convicted, beheaded, and put on public display for killing an 11 year old CHILD and the childs father. (Click here to read the full story). Now, “Amnesty International issued a statement deploring the punishment, with the group’s Hassiba Hadj Sahraoui saying in a statement it is “horrific” that beheadings and crucifixions “still happen.”
I’m not saying that Amnesty International is wrong in what they are saying nor do I justify beheadings. But, if that kind of stuff was happening in the U.S., I will guarantee that the crime rate will probably go down. SO will the states deficit due to housing convicted murders for years until they are finally put to death.
Personally, I think the money that is used to keep convicted murders and such in jail could go to better means. Like parks, cleaning up crime infested citys and town, librarys, etc.
