But, I must say I've never seen George get up on his hind legs to scope out a bar, counter or anything he can't see. No wonder you decided to keep the dog! My dog protects my girls, too. Even at this age. He turns from the Cowardly Lion in the day to Super Dog at night. No one can get near the girls unless he knows them. I don't know if I'd call George smart. No, I wouldn't. But, he's here to stay because I would miss him if he left. Your dog got smart because he's obviously around a smart family. Your dog looks eerily like my dog, George.
