Monday through Friday my sons school bus picks him up in front of my house at 6:30 a.m. And every morning “if” my little one is awake, she goes out to the bus with me. And, every morning she goes out to the school bus with me, she decides to gather and collect as many snails as she possibly can in my front yard.

This morning was especially disgusting. As I got out of the school bus, she had a ton of just nasty disgusting green crap all over her. I wish I had my phone because I would have taken a picture to share with all of you. She had about 15 of these nasty little creatures sitting right by her. All with the shells peeled off and oozing their nasty slimy stuff all over the place.

She had a few in both of her hands that she had squeezed to a pulp. Oh my god! It was so absolutly disgusting. Washing her hands was an absolute chore. This slimy stuff was staying on her hands and it actualy took me quite a while to clean her up.

I think it’s time for me to get some snail killer at Home Depot.

I don’t know what it is about snails and kids. I remember when we were kids my Aunt would watch me, my sister, and our cousins for the day while our mother worked. We used to always find as many snails as we possibly could and put them on this huge rock. Sometimes we would have 50 plus snails.

It’s kinda weird the things we never though of when we were kids, but remember when our kids do it.
